What is the Air Suspension Air Compressor all about?

An Air Suspension Compressor also called Air Compressor or Air Pump, inflates or deflates air spring bags as necessary. When a vehicle with air suspension drops below the factory-defined height, the air suspension compressor, also simply called an air compressor or air pump is activated and inflates the air bags or air struts.

Air Suspension Compressor Function

An air compressor is a machine that uses an electric motor or gas engine to power a device that sucks in successive volumes of air from the atmosphere, compresses (squeezes) each volume of air in a confined place to increase its pressure by making the volume smaller, and then transfers the high-pressure air to a receiver tank, The high-pressure air is drawn off from the receiver tank to power equipment.

Air compressors work

How to Repair and Maintain an Air Compressor

A compressor is a device used to move air from 1 place to another. Air enters the air compressor through the intake valve. Inside the compressor, the vanes on the inner rotor rotate within an eccentric cavity. The self-adjusting length arm divides the space into multiple cavities of different sizes. As the rotor rotates, air fills the cavity. As air flows around the cavity, it builds pressure and is squeezed out of the compressor output.
